Today my card from the Thoth tarot is the Emperor, a father figure who rules over his domain with a wise yet stern hand. He is the ultimate authority, teaching his subjects responsibility and societal order. He is surrounded by rams, the symbol of Aries, firey and outspoken. He doesn’t care what you think of him, he is always right!
Now I happen to have the Emperor as my life card, and an Aries moon in my astrological birth chart. So I have a lot of work to do with the Emperor overall. Yet he always seems distant and lacking in my life. Ah, the life lessons that entails.
He is also known for his decisive energy, and today I am not feeling it at all! I’ve been fighting off the beginnings of a cold for a while now, and I think I’m losing the fight. My back and arms are sore, and my lungs feel tight and clogged. I sure hope to push this off for at least one more day.
Evening Review
Well, sickness reigned supreme over this way. I’ve got this head cold coming on strong today. I’ve been drinking herbal tea and took a nice long nap. But I still feel icky!
Also, we have some new neighbors who are already exhibiting some quirks, and they’re not even moved in yet! Yesterday, they brought one car load’s worth of stuff. Today, they upped the ante and unloaded a car and a truck. Maybe by sometime in 2011 they’ll have gotten all their stuff into their new home. Maybe.
So, beyond that, not a lot going on over here. Hmm. I’ll have to take note of this day and check back the next time the Emperor comes around again. So far, I’m not liking him. Ha!
