The Ten of Cups is the Lord of Satiety in the Thoth Tarot. Indicating emotional satisfaction, this card often comes up in a satisfied relationship, with a good partner or family. A happy home is a common Ten of Cups rendering in many tarot decks, and it often comes up for me when I’m going to stay close to home. Water in the tarot touches on more than just the emotions however. Psychic energy and intuitive power are also indicated, so a satisfying spiritual experience is also likely.
Morning Musings
Well, I still feel pretty awful today, so I won’t be straying too far from home. We had more snow last night, and it’s just a good winter day to stay cozy indoors.
Assuming I muster any energy today, my attention will be devoted to the house, cleaning for a bit this morning to prepare for the cable guy showing up. Grocery shopping needs done to provide for my family, but if it has to wait for a day, that’s fine by me.
Also, the walk needs shoveled, but I’ll leave that unappealing chore for my man to do later on. With how I feel, it’s not going to happen by me!
Evening Review
Today has been an exhausting one, though I didn’t actually do a whole lot. I did end up shoveling out the car and doing a short grocery run. Come to think of it, it was mostly for drinks, as the kids can put away the milk and juice! Cups galore!
Also, I received an order of kids’ books, and the package ended up shredded by the mail! It was a lot of books, and I was expecting it in a box or in a couple of shipments. Nope, all of the books were crammed haphazardly into a large brown envelope. I’m surprised the mail allowed it to go through! Thankfully, the books were intact, but the envelope had this strange filler on the inside, that made me want to sneeze everywhere! Yuck.
I am still sick, and what started as a headache and sinus trouble has now started to bother my stomach. Many people I know develop stomach problems when cups cards come up. Oddly, it hadn’t really happened to me before, until recently.
On the good side of today, I’ve been working through the first chapter of Tarot For Yourself by Mary Greer. I am absolutely in love with it already! Chock full of information, easily accessible to tarot newbies while providing experienced tarot readers with more in-depth analysis. I can’t wait to see what I’m going to learn next!
So, today was not my ideal Ten of Cups day, but hey, it could’ve been worse, right?
